Limited Licensed Radiologic Technologist

Limited Licensed Radiologic Tech program is designed for students will develop a solid foundation in healthcare principles and learn the procedures performed by Limited License Radiologic Technicians (LLRT). Students will play an integral role in the healthcare team providing diverse patient care services in collaboration with physicians, nurses, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses and other healthcare professionals. Students will learn radiologic positioning, radiation safety and image critique. This program will provide fundamental concepts in patient care, radiography, and clinical lab science for technicians in healthcare clinics and outpatient surgery centers. 

• Patient care: Preparing patients for procedures, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety 
• Imaging: Conducting X-ray examinations, positioning patients, and operating X-ray equipment 
• Image processing: Evaluating image quality and making corrections as needed 
• Safety: Following safety protocols to protect patients and themselves from radiation exposure 
• Equipment: Maintaining and inspecting imaging equipment, reporting malfunctions, and arranging for repairs 
• Documentation: Maintaining patient records and logs, and completing forms 
• Quality assurance: Maintaining quality throughout the testing process 
• Ethics: Upholding ethical and professional standards 
• Compliance: Adhering to national, institutional, and departmental standards, policies, and procedures
